We first invested in ShareChat when they were at 4000 monthly active users
ShareChat is India's first homegrown social network serving the new internet users who access content primarily in their regional languages. The company operates two apps; ShareChat which is a multimedia social network and Moj, which is a short-form video creation and sharing platform. Both these platforms allow users to consume and share content in their local languages as well as communicate with their friends and favourite content creators. When we first invested in ShareChat, they were at 4000 monthly active users. We invested in the team's vision to build out a social platform for these users which they knew intimately given their own backgrounds.
